Over the years I’ve seen many brides fall in love with a dress but worry that it doesn’t match the theme of the day, or that its not appropriate for the small / large wedding they are having, or that their guests will think its not enough / too much.
I’ve also had many happy customers buy a simple dress for an opulent wedding in a castle, or a fabulous detailed dress for a registry office.
My advice is simple. If you love the dress, you will feel amazing. If you feel amazing, it will show in the way you glow on your wedding day. That’s what people will see when they look at you. I very much doubt any of your wedding party will be thinking ‘the dress doesn’t match the occasion’ – it’s a wedding after all! And if they do, then they aren’t the friends you really need to care about!
And you are going to be looking at those photos for many years to come. We want you to look at them with pride and joy in how you looked and the happy memories they evoke – not feel regret that you compromised on a dress rather than had what you really wanted. If your wedding day isn’t the one time when you can have exactly what YOU want, then I don’t know what is!
